Breakdown Of The Introduction

This is just a more detailed version of the Introduction that you will use to teach this lesson/introduction to the class. It includes all you need from the KWL chart to the quiz. 

K.W.L. Chart (For Birds In General)

I have included a link to a document with a K.W.L. chart (What I Know, What I Want to Know, What I Learned) on it if you click on this button below. The students will fill out what they know already about birds and what they want to know about birds. Then collect them and notify me, I will send my sister Kaelyn or I will come myself to get them that day after school. I will then answer the questions and get them to you by the 4th lesson so the students can read them out. *Please see Lesson 4 for more on the follow-up for the KWL chart.

I have created a sheet with information on the chickadee for the top half of the page, then for the bottom half there is a total of 3 short answer questions, 3 multiple choice, and 2 true or false. Totaling there to be 8 questions in all, this will test their ability to take knowledge and apply it elsewhere. It also includes math on 1 question because if they understand it correctly 0.14m is equal to 14cm.
